99 Gmc Old Body Stye 4x4

So im shopping around for lift kits for my 99 GMC 1500 and I'm confused. Im looking to go for a 6" suspention lift and when im looking around at them im noticing all the ones that are in pic's are always newer body style and also some of the kits overlap. Did 99 convert to the newer body style 1/2 way through the year? Also since my truck is the old body style should i look for lifts fitting 1998? I dunno just kinda confused. Any suggestions or anyone else ever had to deal with this?

I had a 99 and if I remember correctly that was a "split" year. But I'm not positive.

Yes, the body style changed part way through the year. Yours should be the same as the 98.
