Size Differeance

My truck currently has the 275/55R20 tires, in the future i'm think about going to a 285/70/R17 (the perfect tire with the 2" level). My question is this, how much is the difference in tire size? with it affect gas mileage and acceleration?

ANY BIGGER TIRE WILL EFFECT YOUR ACCELERATION AND GAS MILAGE. I RECOMEND REGEARING YOUR TRUCK TO ACCOMIDATE A BIGGER TIRE.

Doint need to regear for such a slight increase in tire size and why would want to go from a 20" to a 17" tire i highly recommend against it.. its a major downgrade

I'm old school and like 17's, maybe 18's.

Old tire size is 31.9 inches tall. New tire size is 32.7 inches tall. Google tire size calculator to come up with these numbers. No need to regear for such a small change.

I would do anything as the size differance it not that much.
