2010 Silverado Rear Bumper Rust

The rear bumper on my 2010 Silverado is starting to show signs of rust on both bedside corners. Its definetly alot worst on the exaust side. I rubbed it out with wax(2 times so far) but I don`t think I should be seeing any signs of rust on a truck this new. I did a google search and came up with some people saying its the acids in the exaust causing the bumper to rust worst on that side. Anyone else having this problem?
