I bought a EDGE tuner it really woke my truck up. I couldn't tell you about the mileage because I can't keep my foot out of it LOL hope this helps

hey i havent done this yet but will be doing soon. black bear tuning is suppose to be the $hit, ask everyone and they will tell you nothing but good things about him. he sells a autocal which is like a programer flashing device to tune your truck. thats after you log some runs on your truck, he will look at it and send you some tunes for your truck not just a silverado

I have been reading alot about the black bear tune sounds awesome I have put the edge tuner and exhaust, cold air intake and checked my 1/4 mile time and according to the edge tuner i ran 14.4 at 99 mph tires spun in second and chriped in third. I will confirm those 1/4 times when our track opens this month. I here some guy's have squeaked into the 13.9 with the BB tune. I may switch later but for now the truck will move it's azzzz!!!!!

Had a hypertech on my last truck. Installed on my 04 and could tell no difference at all. And I could not adjust the shift points on the Allison. Got a Blackbear tune and love it. Makes a big difference, and I picked up 1 mile to the gallon.

15-20 rwhp 15-20 ft/lbs tq. on 87 octane.... 20-25 rwhp 20-25 ft/lbs tq. on 91/93 octane...

 

disable speed limiter... adjust tranny settings such as shift point, shift firmness... torque management... rpm limits... timing... fueling... data logging... return to stock at any time... etc etc...

i have a superchips programmer for my truck and i am happy with it. i would get something like a blackbear tune but with the programmer, i can take the tune off and revert it back to stock whenever i want and i have diffrent tune options such as heavy tow, light tow, economy, 87 oct and a 93 oct. its cool becasue it also is an engine diagnostic tool. the website for superchips is great and update are extremely easy.

 

 

adjusted my shift points, can adjust speedo for bigger tires, top speed limiter, shift pressure, not sure what else. not too noticeable in the power but the shitfing is sooo much better.

 

i dont know if i would of gotten superchips, but i bought it from some kid for like 150$ and it retails for 375$ so i definatley made out
