Abs Light/brake Light

yes, i did a search on it. the other day my abs light/parking brake light came on while i was driving on the highway, just flashed at me for a second then went off. but today on the highway i noticed my truck was shaking more than usual while driving down the highway. im wondering if there is any connection to this. i had my tires rotated a few weeks ago and they said my brakes were still good. i think i read that i might have to replace some ABS module or something? thanks guys.

Have you checked your wheel bearing hubs up front? I had 98 Camaro and a 2002 Silverado which both gave this intermittent flash of the ABS light prior to a front hub bearing failure. The speed sensor mis-aligns with the ring inside the hub and will give indication of a failure. Others may be able to chime in if there is a code thrown with this condition. I pulled the wheel, spun the rotor and could tell there was enough play and roughness in rotation to replace the hubs. Both my hub sets were the sealed type and not open serviceable bearings.
