Tires And Wheels

Hey everyone. I'm a newbie to this forum so please bear with me.

My truck is a 2010 Chevy Silverado crew 2wd and am wanting to put rims and tires. I like the oversized look so I am looking for a tire that will sit about 2 inches outside the wheelwell. The tire I want is 285/60 18 on a 9 inch wheel. What I would like to try to find out is the correct backspacing and offset as not to rub the wheelwell. Any help would be appreciated. The front has the 2" leveling btw.

It's not going to happen. In order to achieve the look you're after, you need a wheel with about 4.5" of backspacing and maybe even a wider tire. Needless to say, that setup would rub considerably.

like the others said you will need a bigger lift. Do not put on wheel spacers as they can be illegal as they are in my area, and they can damage the axles. And i really hope you are going to put on wider fender flares, because if you don;t you will be repainting your truck in the near future. The tires will throw rocks and stones and chip the paint on the fenders all around the wheel wells.

Even with fender flares I still get rocks and dirt flung up all over my truck.. You would also need to run a mud flap and well they just dont look good. Best thing to do is buy a color that hides chips well..
