Pure Silver Color

Hey guys

 

Been looking into a possible 4x4 truck soon---many of you may have caught my thread awhile back about finding some Silverado deals on the net.

 

I scrapped that idea. I decided to *shop* this week where I work...a local buick-gmc-caddy dealer

 

I qualify for GM employee discount. Even though that's not much these days, it's a good chunk off of msrp.

 

So, Wednesday, we get this delivered to the store. I like it.

I'm trying to stay away from a real dark color on this purchase. We have black,blue,red,etc... But it's really been forever since I had a silver color.

 

As far as the deal goes...we are at least $2000 shy of a commitment. Here's the numbers...

 

2011 sierra employee price 32195

ally finance discount -2005

national rebate -2500

loyalty rebate -1000

 

that brings it to 26690

 

not enough yet. auto show is coming up, so that's another 500 to 1000 off in the next few weeks.

 

I prefer the non-Z71 trucks also. Street tires and 100% driven on the street. I don't offroad.

 

You guys liking your Silver trucks ???

 

The used car manager offered more $$$ on my trade also. In a matter of minutes he came up $1000 the other night.

I've seen a few in person, and they look pretty sharp. But I tend to like the darker silver more, but it's really a toss up.

I almost bought a stone grey Avalanche, it was gorgeous, you will find that if you are personalizing your truck chrome accents or rims with some chrome will showup much better on a darker shade. The only downside is that it shows the dirt a little more.

you can save a couple hundred more by not taking the dealer installed stuff, and just buying the parts at employee price from the parts department and installing yourself, may not be much, but you are down to the nitty gritty now.

I like the silver. I almost bought one last year. The only color being offered right now tat I like better is the blue granite. And you can't get it on a GMC.

 

Hopefully it will still be there when the autoshow bonus comes your way. I know they already starting the bonus here. And the show doesn't start until the 26th.

I went from a black silverado to a pure silver metallic sierra. I didn't care if it was silver or not (it just happened to be the truck I wanted and it was silver). I just knew I didn't want to deal with another black vehicle.

I like mine (both sheer silver and silver birch). I will never own another dark daily driver. The silver is much easier to maintain. If I was to get a toy (camaro cough cough) I would probably get black.

I really like the Pure Silver Metallic, I am glad that I got the Silver. I am still waiting for a warm day so I can wash it and get some good pics.

I like mine (both sheer silver and silver birch). I will never own another dark daily driver. The silver is much easier to maintain. If I was to get a toy (camaro cough cough) I would probably get black.

No congrats yet guys....deal is far from done !!!

 

On my trade---it is a 2010 Silverado Ext Cab 2wd 4.8 LS with only 2300 miles on it.

 

I paid $23200 for it in June last year

 

Dealer already giving me $20k to $22k on trade.

 

Many thought I'd lose my a$$ on that 2wd truck. I won't.

 

I like the options on that Pure Silver though...not way too many options, and not a strippo model.

 

The only think I'd like to add is remote start. Other than that, it has all I need.
