Changed Batteries... Now Command Start Won't Work..

I put two new batteries into my 05 duramax today, it has aftermarket command start. The lock and unlock will work but the command start will not work anymore....

  I never liked the choppiness of AFM (or DFM) in my '15 and '20 Silverados and IMO it's worth disabling just for the driving experience alone. I wonder what the actual failure rate of AFM/DFM is.
