What do y'all think of this? It was recently posted on my forum and it almost had me in tears because I once lived in Washington, but moved to Canada for work.

Guns won't save you if you're all too complacent to care. You've already lost half your rights and freedoms and are losing more each day. Your politicians and police are corrupt, you can be locked up for taking photos, for asking questions. The government is spying on you with no warrants, you can have your laptop stolen at the border, you can be subject to detention and interrogation because of the color of your skin or for no particular reason whatsoever. Your government censors the internet in exchange for bribes from the entertainment industry. Your government vilifies marijuana because of bribes from the pharmaceutical industries, the textile industries, the lumber industries, the tobacco industries, and the alcohol industries. Your government lies to you, tortures and kills over business interests and making the super rich even richer at the expense of the majority. Your country is becoming less free every day. Every day you allow yourselves to be subject to more and more oppression. Every day you follow orders, giving up your privacy and freedoms because you're told to.

It doesn't matter how many guns you have, you'll never use them. You're too comfortable to care. It doesn't matter how much you're oppressed, so long as you have fast food and TV.

I'm an American who has been ready since shortly after 9/11, but by myself can get nothing done. Don't get me wrong, I don't condone murder, or lone wolfing it for zero gains, but I was fully hoping the people would rise up quite a few time in the last 9 years. I've see the truth in your claims of complacency first hand. I was the only person who protested the Bailouts that I saw in my area.

People sit around and don't give a shit that their ****ing children are being turned into debt slaves through taxation, don't care that their tax dollars are being spent abroad, they fight to take away normal guns here and yet they buy machine guns and grenades for ****ing children armies in other nations, get killed by police who think it's their job to dish out the punishment for crimes based only on probable cause, etc. But take away their Internet - now you've gone too far.

People ****ing died to give us what we had, we've pissed it all away by not protecting it and we're passing our loss on to our children. The American spirit of true personal liberty and freedom and justice is ****ing dead.

As the old saying goes "You dont know how good you have it until its gone"

Or another.. "Man who cannot recall histiry, is condemned to repeat it"

on and on I could type these for hours. Pointless really it is what it is and we are at the mercy of our leaders. If they lack integrity and make piss poor choices then we all suffer and theres not much that can be done about it. Smile and wave fellas and stay out of debt and learn as many skills as you can. This is the only real way to posess freedom.

Henry Ford said;

"If money is your hope for independance you will never have it. The only real security a man will hve in this world is a reserve of knowledge, experience, and ability."

Now if your REALLY pissed about whats going down and want to know why? Go watch the move "The inside Job" its very good and very informative.

Big Business controls our government. Look at what the Koch brothers have done in Wisconsin and Ohio. Their money, funneled through multiple "organizations", ending up in the campaign coffers of Kasich and Walker.

People willingly give away their freedoms, when sold under the disguise of national security. After the knee jerk from 9-11, the patriot act and other wire tapping and invasion bills were passed and signed into law by the president.

Otherwise, some of the post was crazy talk. There has been no significant gun legislation passed since the Clinton era, and none has any realistic chance of even coming up for a vote on the floor of congress. And, no civilian owns a gun thats of any true threat to our Government or any terrorist!
