Scheduled Bedliner And Cover

So I got the local LineX and Rhino Liner Installers competing today. I called one told him what i wanted and got the price then the other.

1. "New" Rhino Over the Rail and Bakflip G2 installed started at $1390

2. LineX OTR and G2 installed Started at $1475

Called the Rhino guy back told him I liked LineX better (I think I like the LineX better but really have no experience) and would pay the $100 dollar difference unless he could do better on the price. So he came down to $1250 and he could install it while I'm at work on Saturday.

Called LineX guy back and he came down to $1310 (which I think is a good deal) but he had to do it during the week. This doesn't work out well beacause my wife also works through the week and no extra cars.

I booked the Rhino guy for saturday morning. I also got to go in last saturday and watch the guy spray a liner in last weekend.

I feel good about it.

Can't speak as to the cover....that's another purchase for another day for me.

But as far as Line-x vs Rhino, I don't think you're going to go wrong with either one. I SERIOUSLY considered the Rhino Hardline before I found a Line-x dealer willing to do the Premium at regular price. If you're satisfied with his work after seeing him spray a truck last weekend, I'd say you've made the right decision to save a little $$$ with the Rhino. I'm happy with my Line-x, but feel like if I'd gone with Rhino I would have been just as happy. Good luck with the install and take a few pictures when you get your truck back.

:sigh:

How much for each? I don't have a bakflip but I've seen them for $700, the install is nothing. I had my truck lineX(ed) over the rails for $425/$450. And you want to make sure it doesn't rain or is going to rain for a few days.

I think they called it 490 for the liner and 760 for the BakFlip. Bottom line was my focus. I feel good about the deal.

Havn't heard that about the rain before...Why?

Truck is done. Looks really good. The cover looks great with the rhino over the rails. I got another 25 bucks off with an online coupon and bought 4 simple mudflaps for $30 dollars. I don't know if I will use them but I am going to mess with them see if I can make them look good. 1330 out the door with the mud flaps. Pics when the weather is decent.

I guess the weather will never turn, I have been laid up in the house with a sore back.

Here are some dirty truck pics:

My old bed mat (To protect the rhino liner, of course :) )

I used some waterless wash and the Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax for a nice shine and a little bit of protection.

Also. I hit the auto car wash the other day. The only water in the bed (I believe)came from the under carriage spray through the bed's drain holes at the front of the bed. I think it would be a miner issue driving and there should never be any water get above the bed mat. I would feel fine putting luggage back there. Which is one the main reasons i got the cover.

Damn! Looks really good!

One question for you...

Why on earth would you put that nasty dirty bedmat on your new liner though???

:)
