6.6 Durmax - Lb7-lly

I was looking to get a 2004 to 2007 gmc or chevy 2500HD.My question- what is the best engine LB7 or LLY? Which one is more reliable? I do all my own mechanical so which one is easier to work on, like pulling injectors or water pump? Any info or opinion would help me out.

Stick with the LLY the LB7 had alot of injector problems and the LLY did also but no where near the LB7 did. The LB7 injectors are internal and a big ticket item if you need to replace the LLY had external injectors and cheaper and easy to replace if needed.

I had a similar post.. everyone will take and lb7 over an lly aS long as the injectors were changed.. thats there downfall. or get the 06-07 lbz that seems to be the best.

if your lookin up to an 07...look for an LBZ. best one hands down. and you get the 6 speed
