I just want to thank the engineers at G.M. for designing the cable bracket on the 4L60E trans. I think with a few more cups of coffee you could have designed it to mount with the pan bolts.

I can get the two bolts out in less than five minutes, and I'm a crotchety old geezer.. :)

 

You must have small hands because my big mits don't fit up there. Hell now I am sounding like O.J.

Yeah, I do have small hands, plus I learned a few things in 53 years of wrenching.. :P

On this note... does anyone know which years got a trans pan with drain plug? I hope to get one before I change more fluid again.

You can buy aftermarket pans with plugs for $40 or so. Some in the $35 range. Or you can simply add your own drain plug to your current one
