offroadn11 Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 I just got my RC level in the mail. going thru the directions i know its important to check everything with-in the first couple thousand miles a few times. But should i really be checking to make sure all my bolts are tighten to spec every 3k miles?
Superperv23 Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Basically they are just trying to get out of liability if something goes wrong. I have never known of anyone who has had a wheel alignment done every 3000 miles or inspected the driveline or suspension that often. When you take a car to a dealer they do a visual inspection of things but they certainly do not check the torque of all the bolts.

kdrchuck Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 I check mine every-now-and-then. They have needed torqued at least once after the first check.
ruggedlife Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 i'd go over it every oil change like said, as well as checking out the rest of the truck like air filter trans fluid level look for any leaks etc etc, vehicles shouldn't just be driven every single day and ignored if you want them to last, plus it will keep you ontop of any problems that may come along
