08 Sivberado Sun Shell Or Shift Solenoid

Recently my 08 silverado 4l60le started having trouble going into 1st especially after coming from reverse. All other gears are fine. It just seems like it is getting hung or slow going into gear from neutral or park. I need to take it in for the slip yoke issue for sure. It has a black bear tune on it also. I am just wanting to get my ducks in a row before I take it in.

if the sunshell was fryed it woulden't work much at all

Don't count on them giving you warranty on that trans if they see it's tuned

 

Could just be a shift solenoid. If it was the sun shell, there's no inbetween. It's either there or shredded.

Sun shell wouldn't cause a slow engaugement and I don't much see a shift solenoid causing it either.

The solenoid would usually turn the ses light on also.

 

Sounds like you have low fluid pressure.
