New Radio For '02 Suburban

We've decided to hang on to our '02 Suburban for awhile but the radio really needs some help. The markings have all worn off and both knobs have broken and fallen off. The wife wants a new one but I'm not sure what to put in it's place. Also, the subwoofer doesn't thump anything like it used to so I'll probably put a new speaker back there too. Has anyone replaced their radio in this model? What did you get and why? I don't need anything too fancy but I would like to have a iPod plug-in on it. Not a dock, just a 1/8" jack is fine.

  No key on power = no DTCs. I'd pull the underhood fuse box as these are known to get nasty with corrosion. See how things look there. I'd suspect internal damage as well to it.

  Friend was telling me ordered a 2025 Yukon Denali. Was waiting for it to arrive (was told built and in transit) and it was not showing up. So one day he goes down to the dealer and as he drives through the lot he spots this Black Yukon Denali sitting outside of body shop area in primer, masking tape and paper. They are repainting the top parts, hood and roof. So he moseys over to a worker and asked, what happened here? Guy says, brake leaked on it in transit. He walked away from buying it because they never intended for him to know that.

  Carlos For questions like yours GMUpfitter DOT com is a fantastic resource. Attached a wiring diagram for the K157 Video Processor. Diagram should apply to all '20 - '22 NON-REFRESH 1500's. HIGHLY recommend you download the electrical section for your year pick-up and verify this info for yourself. 20_1500_Electrical_Body_Builder_K157.pdf

  Had pretty much mostly Mopars in the past. My last truck was a 2018 Ram 1500. Hemi, CC, 6.4 bed, Zone 6" lift, fox 2.5 shocks, grill guard, 36x13 R20 tires. Beautiful truck. Paid it off in June of 26, neighbor kid who's been driving for a month totaled it July 26 while it was parked outside of the house. Ugh. We figured we'd change it up a bit and found a 2020 GMC 1500 Denali with 50,000 miles for a good price. Pick it up today or tomorrow. I'm looking forward to learning about this truck. I've already started to youtube how to's on diff oil changes, t-case etc. (Not too thrilled that there's no drain plug on the diff's. The front looks like a bit of a PIA, but we'll see) I do most of my own routine maintenance and plan on changing out the fluids when I get it. Anyway I'll post some pics when I bring it home. Bob
