Bilstein 5100 - Just Do It!

Just got back from my dealer who installed the Bilstein 5100 Height Adjustable Shocks on my 07 LTZ EC.

All I have to say is just do it ! The truck rides good and sits even better. I only have the fronts installed as the backs are on backorder. The SM is impressed enough that he wants to put them on his truck now. Too dark for pics, but it sure makes my 20"" wheels look smallish. Will consider larger tire size when they are do.

 

One important note that the SM mentioned. The fuel sender is calibrated with the factory rake. Raising the front will give a somewhat higher fuel reading than what is in the tank. This is especially critical when you get down to 1/4 to 1/8 of a tank. Something to ponder...

Yes I have it on the highest setting. I even took off the front air dam and I really like the look now. This is how the truck should have come from the factory. I even notice that sitting in the drivers seat how much taller the truck feels, even though it's only a 1.77" lift. I am looking forward to getting the rears on. I will take some pics once I get my "summer" wheels on next week.

I'm really debating between these shocks and the RC 2" lifts.

What did these cost to install?
