A New Look

Finally put some new wheels and tires on the truck. Wheels are 22" Competition Grey TBSS replicas in the 6x5.5 bolt pattern. The tires are 305/45/22 Yokohama Parada Spec-X's. Black lug nuts also. Only driven home from the tire shop but they ride great. Not sure about the ride height yet. Maybe I'll get rid of the leveling kit and lower the rear to level. I've gotta see how much room there is. I'm going to upgrade the brakes, so I'll paint the calipers and drums then. And I know I need tint. That's coming too. Also had some water and clearcoat issues with the OEM tails, so I got some new ones. I know they're not for everybody, but I like them.

i think it looks really good. i would defiantley lower it, and the only thing that bothers me is that i think the stock brakes dont look good at all. i know its really expensive but some big ass wilwood rotors and calipers all around would make it sweet.

Looks Great!

I just put some OEM 22"s on my truck also. Don't you love the improved handling now?

No matter how much I wanted it to, the ride height just wasn't growing on me. So I took out the 2.5" level kit, removed the stock block in the back, put on some 2" drop shackles, and did a little trimming. OK, a lot of trimming but I have plenty of room now. It still rubs on the passenger side at full lock to the right, but its just the bottom of the fender liner, which is an easy fix. I've just had the wheels off so many times in the past two days, I didn't feel like doing it again. I also painted the rear drums. I will paint the calipers and replace the rusty rotors when i do the brakes. Tint is coming too. The exhaust tip stays haters. It'll probably get moved to the rear of the tire when I redo the exhaust though.

What year is your truck? I like the tails. Have a friend who bought a set from Recon but he sent them back when I told him I could make them work with some wire splicing. He didn't want his wires cut on his '10 LTZ. Did yours plug in or did you have to splice? Im interested in getting a set on my '11 LT

Lower is >>>>>>than leveling kit+stock rear height. It looked awkward originally but noe the stance is solid. As for the exhaust tip? I kinda like it BUT i cant say I like that cheap looking pipe anlge dump. I think it should go over the axle and have an invisible pipe look to it. So the pipe would come down vertically into a tight 90 where the tip attaches and the skull face should point straight out the side perpendicular to the side of the truck. That'll really make people wonder WTF is that? I think on cool mornings when the white smoke is pouring out of it would look awesome
