Auto Lock Program Without Dic

Recommended Posts

I can't find instructions in the manual to change the auto door lock programming on my 2011 Silverado without the DIC (driver info centre).

The doors lock as soon as I put it in gear. I want the 'lock at speed' option.

Can anyone help?

DIC is not that expensive, you might be able to get it for like $119 or so and is plug and play!!!

Yeah, just googled that upgrade and it looks easy enough. I might consider that in the future.

Is there any way to change it without the DIC upgrade? I could in my '01 Sierra.

Are you sure than the instructions aren't in the owner's manual. Mine are...

$83 for mine from the dealership, you just have to order them separate. (switch and panel) or you can get the "DIC" panel for $119, your money but the switch just pushes into the panel, harder to take one off than it is to put the new one back on. If money is real tight and you are good with a dremmel, you can cut your existing panel out because the only difference is that yours doesnt have the hole or the switch but the wire is plugged into the back of it.

It's a thick book - maybe I missed it. What section in yours?
