U Joints Replacement

On my 04 burb im reaching 90,0000...

changed everything that i could over the years..but wondered about u joints.. do you wait till they go or is there a certain mil to change them

I generally wait 'till one acts up. But you can change them for preventative maintenance if you wish. Pull the shaft out and rotate the joints. They probably are a little stiff or even rough feeling right now. Or they may be perfectly fine

i would just wait until they act up. you will hear then squeaking. just had both U joints replaced on my 2001 silverado when it had 83,000 on it. have a 2003 suburban with over 155,000 and U joints are still good

Wait till they act up. My 03 Tahoe has just over 180,000 miles and has the originals.

Agree with the above posters.... This is something that won't generally leave you stranded, wait until they show signs of failing.

If your burb has 9 hundred thousand miles like you said and they've never been changed I'd leave em'. Because somethings obviously right.
