Shocks For 3" Block

So i need some new shocks in the rear because i installed a 3" block and i'm sure the stockers are hitting there limit with the crappy roads and potholes around me. I was hoping to pick up bilsteins but not sure which one i need. Should i get the model that is for up to 1" of lift or should i get the model that is for 3" to 4" of lift. The 3" block adds 1.75" of lift to the rear so will the ones for up to 1" of lift be OK? Also i'm looking for a smooth controlled ride, will the bilsteins be good for this? Does anyone have any other shock brand recommendations for my trucks situation.

I have 3" blocks and still have the factory shocks in as well. I haven't topped them out yet but I definatley feel more bumps. I was looking at Rancho's RS5000 series that are good for 0-2" of rear lift and alot less expensive than Bilstein. Does anyone on here have these Rancho's with a 3" block?

yeah i saw the rancho's to but haven't heard much about people running them with a 3" block

Curious to see what you find on the Bilstein's. I've got the rear 3" block too but haven't had any issues with the stock shocks. Will probably upgrade when the stockers wear out.

When I installed my 3" blocks I felt the difference in the stock shocks. They would bottom out over dips and bumps. I added the readylift shock extensions and it made a night and day difference. These extensions will bring you right back to a stock ride. You can get them anywhere online Part # is ReadyLift 67-3809

Ive seen the shock extensions before but i was more instrested in upgrading the shock. Would rather just throw a set of bilsteins or rancho's in there with the correct amount of travel. Just wondering if the bilsteins will be ok since there only for up to 1" of lift.

Yeah if your going to do anything (in my case I have experience zero issue), just upgrade to new shocks. Does bilstein only offer the shock for our trucks with 1" lift? If so, I would think it would be fine since most of us have no issue with stock length shocks.

I got new, longer rear shocks from Zone Offroad when I orderd my 2" kit. They were pretty cheap, and IMO improved the ride over the stockers. The back end of my truck doesn't bounce around when I hit large bumps on the highway like it used to with the factory shocks.
