On-star Diagnostics

I received my last diagnostic email from On-Star around mid March. When I check my account on their website, it shows the last readings were in March. I drive the truck at least once weekly, so there's plenty of time for them to query the system. Has anyone else had issues?

they don't query the truck, your vehicle is programmed to transmit within 72 hours of its activation date, i.e. I bought my truck on the 21st and activated OnStar on the 22nd, so my transmit date is the 22nd of every month, and it will transmit within 72 hours of that date (as told to me by the OnStar 3rd tier techs when I was having issues with my OnStar a few months back)..

It will also not transmit if you have anything plugged into the OBDII port during it's scheduled time, I have a UltraGauge (like a scangauge) and while it is plugged in I don't get any Diagnostics..

in addition to all of that, OnStar sent me an email that they had network issues in April so diagnostics may be delayed or not be available, if I required one I could press the OnStar button to request one, the email did hit my spam filter so had I not checked I would never have seen it..

So by that reckoning, if the truck remains off during that 72 hour period, it will wait until the next anniversary date to upload diagnostics? That kinda makes sense. :jester:

Yeah as it was explained to me it can happen up to 72 hours after that date but won't happen before. And if the truck isn't active for those 3 days it won't happen until next cycle.
