Western Digital Media Player

We have an 08 suburban with the factory entertainment system. In the back of the center consule - from the back seat there are a/v inputs. We are looking at western digital media players - I assume that it is possible to hook the wd media player up to the truck via the a/v cables. Is that correct?

 

Does anyone use a media player like this in their truck - have any advice or suggestions?

Forgive my ignorance, but does the WD unit have a built in hard drive?

If so then, yes it will work fine. If not (Think Apple TV) then you will need a wired/wireless network in the vehicle. Not impossible, just lots of parts (router, inverter, etc).
