HOT Juice

Check out these dyno charts for the newest "hot" juice box from Edge products.  Wanna make your Duramax scream?  How 'bout 800+ ft-lbs of torque and almost 400 hp?

Also should be pointed out that since these are dyno results, this is the actual HP and TQ at the rear wheels, not at the flywheel like our engines are rated from the factory.  This chip represents a gain of over 125HP and almost 400 ft-lbs of torque from the stock truck.

That's outstanding...just get one of those Edge Boxes and then run it against the new Powerstroke and Cummins and see what happens..lol :thumb:

Been there  done that :seeya:

I still won....it was funny because we pulled over after the race and the guy told me how the shop told him no cummins would be able to beat him :jester:

Boxes are nice....but it takes a lot more than electronics....those are still impressive numbers though. Diesel chips give far more than any gasser that has far more mods could get.

You raced a Duramax with the "hot" juice or the regular?  The hot juice is still pretty new, and I don't think there's a lotta guys with 'em yet.  If you look at the dyno charts, the hot juice is developing substantially more HP and TQ than the regular juice, and I'm pretty sure those "hot" trucks would be quite a bit faster.  Not doubting your story, just wanting to know what configuration the Duramax guy was running.  Looking at your mods list, it's no wonder you'd have won.  A chip vs. all those mods isn't really a far comparison.  Let's wait another year or two and let the aftermarket mods become more advanced for the Dmax.  Dollar for dollar, I'm willing to bet the two engines will be very competitive.

Dang man that ain't a fare race...The DMAX with only a chip...your 12V is built plus its a Cummins I6...Of course your truck is going to scream...That Cummins is a helluva motor know two ways about it.

I know...after we pulled over I told what all I had in mine and he was able to dry his eyes and feel better

But seriously, we talk for a good 20-mins about truck and engine stuff, and he didn't walk away with his head down the way he walked up...he just walked away smarter.

Cummins-

Gotta proposal for ya!

The guys over at the Diesel Page are building a truck to try to set the record for diesel p/u ¼ mile times.  They are doing extensive mods and reprogramming and have the truck up to over 600 HP and, IIRC, about 1100-1200 ft-lbs of torque.

They are planning on a run in the spring.  Would you be willing to compare certified ¼ mile times for your truck to the times for their DMax powered beast?

Also, I understand that some aftermarket producers are figuring over 800 HP out of the Duramax within a couple of years when using a full set of mods.
