Least Favorite Flu Symptom?

I woke up with this flu yesterday and this is the worst ever.  I think the flu gets worse as you get older.  Where I caught it I don't know but I hope it goes away soon or I may have to break down, listen to my wife and go to the doctor .

 

So far the only symptoms I don't have are choice #1 & #2.  The chills and cold sweats are the worst part I think.  My wife is a nurse and she says the fever is going down so maybe I will be able to crawl out and look at the sun tomorrow.  

 

Hope none of you guys get this.  Go get a flu shot-I wish I had one.

The thing I hate the most about the Flu (Or a common cold for that matter). Is not the runny nose, but the fact I can't breathe out my nose, which subsequently gives me a headache (which is what I voted for).

 

 

When you can't breathe out your nose, everything you eat and drink tastes really nasty.

 

 

I'm not a big fan of Throwing up either, but I can live with it. Atleast you feel a little relieved when you're done pukin'.

 

 

On a side note, Since I quit public school 5 years ago (Going through the "home school" thing now, but not for much longer), I have not had one sickness that really "Sidelined" me for more than a couple of days.

 

 

Take that Public Schools!

We build up immunities over time to various molds, viruses, etc... in public school though...take that!

i think a lot of those listed are a bit more then just a flu or cold sympthom. go see a doctor.

Don't wait too long before going to the Doc.

 

I waited six weeks. (we have goverment provided health care here, and its a mess right now. I hate to be a burden for the common cold) anyways the wife finally got me to go, the Doc gave me S**T for waiting so long, also gave me six little pills that cleared it right up.

 

give it week or two to let it runn its course than go .

i very rarely ever throw up so that's not in the contention....

 

My most hated symptom is the stuffy nose.  Whenever I get sick, it ALWAYS goes to my sinues.  And it's not something I can go and blow out with a kleenex, it STAYS in there, inhibiting my sense of taste and smell.    It makes it uncomfortable to sleep, because it drains from one side to the other completely clogging one side.  

 

Luckilly, I've discovered 12 Hour Extra Strength Sudafed.  That sh*t will keep my sinuses free and clear for 10 hours....  It rocks.

Started feeling better this afternoon thankfully.  The chills are gone, and that was the worst part   .

 

Think I will call off tomorrow anyway though and rest.

There is an over the counter drug that you can use, an antiviral that stops the virus from invading other cells and taking over and making more viral particles. Knocks it down to just a few days instead of a week or more.
