Paint On Leather

Recommended Posts

my wife was painting a dresser and I got some on my shorts and then got in my truck . Didn't realize it until 2 days later. Any trick to getting in off without damaging the leather. I tried water and baby wipes no luck.

Try one of those Magic Erasers. I've used them on my wife's Audi's tan interior and it takes all the black scuffs and marks off no problem. Not sure how it would work on leather or if it would discolor it though. Might want to try it on a part you can't see first.

I'd avoid the magic eraser, most people don't realize they are actually abrasive and will remove surface material leaving the spots its used potentially a different sheen than the rest.

Assuming the transfer didn't bond very well (it was probably partially dry by the time you sat down) a Leather Cleaner and medium stiff brush like our Interior Brush would probably do the trick. I just used this combo to take some white spray paint off the door panel of a F350 yesterday and it just took 2 treatments to completely remove it. Followed up with a little Conditioner and the panel was good as new!
