How Do You Remove The Carpet Below The Rear Window?

I have a 2010 basic work truck, regular cab. There are some small rattles behind the seats and I want to take down the rear trim. There is a plastic piece that runs below the rear window and the carpet that hangs from the trim. How do I remove the window trim and carpet?

Assuming (?) that it's similar to earlier years:

Remove rear window lower molding by pulling up lightly along lower edge.

Lift molding up to free it.

Now rear quarter panel trim screws should be visible. Remove.

Rear quarter panel should be able to be removed by carefully pulling, releasing via the ubiquitous interior clips.

I did this job yesterday while trying to fix a small rattle behind the seats. The black plastic panel below the rear window of my regular cab is removed by pulling pretty hard straight out. It is held by about 6 spring clips.

Once that panel is off the carpet is held in place by mushroom plugs that are pretty obvious.

It turned out my rattle was coming from the center seat belt. I decided to take it out completely. It's held in by two big bolts at the floor behind the seat and one torx bolt in front. It's not readily apparent how to feed the loose end of the seatbelt through the large plastic trim panel and the guide near the rear window because the buckle end of the belt has a plastic cover that is larger than the openings it must pass through. The cover is built like a clamshell and comes apart in two pieces. There are no fasteners, it just snaps apart.

I saved the seat belt so I can pass it on if I ever sell the truck to somebody else. The truck will never be operated with three people in the cab while I own it so I felt OK about taking the belt out. Normally I never remove safety equipment.
