I see that Onstar is now offering an eNav feature through Google Maps and Mapquest where you can plan your trip and send the information to your vehicle. What I want to know is - if you have a vehicle with navigation, will this show up as a trip route? I can't seem to find any information on the web site.

Funny you should ask that.... I just tried it yesterday on my Factory Nav with an active OnStar acct. It will only work if you have the directions and connections plan . I have the safe and sound package so it will not work .

That really sucks! We pay HUGE bucks for a navigation system and you can't get google or mapquest to link to it. Meanwhile, portable hand-held devices can download directions directly. I think GM needs to rethink this one.

Not really a GM issue, more of an OnStar issue..

They want you to spend the money for their system, and the only way to download to it is thru the OnStar Data Services (provided by Verizon) so if you ain't payin you ain't playin..

no different than trying to use GPS on a smart phone without a data plan, ain't gonna work..
