305/60r18 Or 325/60r18?

Ok so the truck has 275/70R18 Michelin's on it now with a RC 2" leveling kit. They spec out at 33.27 inches tall and 10.7 inches wide. They used to rub at full lockout but we cut the inner lip of the mudflaps so it doesn't rub anymore.

 

Wheels are the stock 18x8 All Terrain wheels.

 

I want to move up to a 18x9 with a +18 mm offset with a bigger tire. I'm looking at running the Nitto Terra Graplers and don't know which size to go with.

 

I've heard the 305/60R18 will fit with almost no rubbing. Now I know the 325/60R18's are wider and about 1/2 an inch taller than the 305/60R18's but I'd like to run a true 33" tall tire.

 

Also, I've seen people run the 305/55R20's with a 3 in body and leveling kit with minor rubbing. And being that the 325/60R18's are just about 1/2 inch wider, could I run those with a 3 in Body lift?

 

I'm just stuck with what to do right now.

I just put 285/65-18 Terra's & 18x9x18 XD Monsters on my 08 Chevy and I only clear by about 1/2" at full lock both ways. I was torn between the 285/65 & the 305/60 but I'm glad I went with the 285. 305's would have rubbed for sure on my truck.

No 325/60/18 will not fit. That is a 33.4x12.8 and will rub badly. You will need a 6" lift.

 

It is 0.2" taller and 0.8" wider than the 305/55/20 that people either trim or run a body lift to clear

Dont even think about a 325 unless your doin a LOT more lift.

I just put 305/55/20(33.4x12.6x20) nitto trail grapplers on my leveled gmc sierra. They're mounted on 20x9 5" backspacing bmf sota's and I had to trim a little to ensure full flex without rubbing.
