Rear Brake Pad Change

Well, they've only been on my truck for 1 day, but so far these Carquest Blue Ceramic (as OEM is ceramic) rear pads are as quiet as can be with no additional pad lubrication/silencing material. It sure is nice when things work out. I think they're damn near the same as the ACDelco DuraStop pads. I'll tell you one thing, based on my examination of the rotors I put on a while back, it seems like the OEM GM pads are real rough on rotors. Hopefully these guys will be a little nicer. I was disappointed to see that they are made in India though. So much for the US of A.

  ...was looking to see what the 3 post OP had to say since they've got a personal issue here and 3 different threads they made within the same time period...just today....and then regurgitating that some owners on facebook and other forums have issues which is a small number out of total ownership of 3.0 Duramaxes.

  Just a guess based on the mentions I've seen on this forum... Failing coolant control valves (LM2, LZ0) No start / long crank issues (LM2) Thrust bearing failures (LZ0) Timing chain failures (LM2) Fingers crossed GM has more revisions and updates in the work because the 3.0 is awesome (when it can be trusted).
