Need Some Rim Advive

Right now I am running 20" boss 313 chrome rims on my 2010 black regular cab GMC, but im having a lot of problems with the chrome on these rims they either begin to peel or get really hazy looking. I have a month left of warranty and have been given the choice to trade the rims in on a new set and just pay the difference. I have been looking at the eagle alloys 079 20 x 9 but the only problem is they only come in a -12 or 0 offset and would stick out about 2.25" or 1.5" but she said they were designed to go on a truck with a lift. Has anyone else ran a set up like this, or would it just look plain goofy? Thanks.
