A Simple Plan Gone A-rye

I did several days of research on how to add an aftermarket amp and subs to my amplified bose system on my 2007 NB silverado. All signs lead to me purchasing the Pac oem-1(gm1416) well it came in today and the plug in play device aint pluggin or playin. Im at a loss and cant seem to find any info on how to get the job done. any help would be great help.
