Transfer Case Leaking

My son has a 2003HD Deisel 4x4 he had a grinding noise and we found out that it was low on fluid we have had to add fluid again today he found a hole in the side of the case the size of a penicle lead I was told that gm has had a problem with this. can any one tell me more.

search for "pump rub" if you cant find it on here i know its on www.dieselplace.com. at this point youll need to rip the back part of the case off and put on a new pump that doesnt rub, yes it is a known problem, then you can either have the case welded up by someone with a tig or buy a new case half.

how hard is it to replace the pump were can i get it
