I was wondering whats the best tune out there for both fuel milage and performance. I been trying to use a diablo but due to the aftermarket alarm it won't up load. Any ideas on another programmer or custom tune that will work best

I'd try BlackBear. They have alot of fans on here. They offer In-Person tunes and a handheld unit called an Autocal.

Get a blackbear..... only way to go. You can buy a handheld, get an in person, or buy a traditional where they tune an ECM & TCM for your truck, mail it to you, you swap them, do a crank relearn and you can keep your factory ones if you like or send the factory ones back to them and they refund some of your money for them. :dunno:

need to disable the aftermarket alarm, and you'll have no issues... pull the fuse for it, use the diablo tool, then put the fuse back in for the alarm...

any aftermarket electronics need to be disabled.. i.e. aftermarket stereo, alarm, subs, amps, trailer brake, etc etc..

I've heard that a 100 times on this forum and I'm pretty convinced. However, I sent in my online request about a week ago and they haven't even had the courtesy to respond to my request..... Either they are very busy and don't need the extra business or they have some other issues. IMHO..... their lack of response is not a good sign.

I'd sure like to hear of other's personal experience with the "business end" of this company.

Justin is always busy, but he will reply to you and will get you the tune you want/need.

i took the fuse out and even tried valet mode, i bought the truck used so i might have been programmed by the last owner. I had a buddy of mine at gmc try and flash my pcm and they wernt able to do it either

Most handhelds require removing the stock tune and moving it to the handheld device, then replacing it with the tune from the handheld. i believe the AutoCal works differently and just replaces the tune on the PCM. However, if it has been tuned and not returned to stock you won't be able to send a stock tune to Justin for updating. If I were you, I would visit an in person BB tune and try that route. E-mail Justin on this forum and see what he says.

I have the tune also, When I messaged him he got back to me the next day, I also had some issues and emergency situations and he was traveling but he still checked his email on his blackberry and got to me ASAP and was very helpful and professional, You sure you emailed the right address, its def not the shortest address to type lol.

You'll have zero worries with Justin and Jenna at Blackbear. They are busy because his tuning is that good. He is in high demand. They have hundreds, if not thousands of satisfied customers.

I didn't email him at all. I went to his website and filled out his form and put in all my info. If email is more efficient, it begs the question.... why have that form on his website? If I don't hear from him next week, I'll email him. Can someone give me his email address please? PM it to me if he doesn't want it posted on the forum.
