Tps And App Codes?

I have a 2003 Suburban 5.3L with the drive by wire throttle. The other day it went into the Reduced Engine Power (Limp) mode. I drove it home, the next morning it started up and ran fine, the Limp mode message cleared but the Engine light was still on. Took it Auto Zone to have the codes read. Came up with P2135 and P0120. Since then the engine light has cleared. The P0120 code leads you to believe there is a TPS issue. Bought a TPS and took it home. The throttle body did not have a TPS where you would expect it.

Question 1 - The throttle body only has the stepper motor assembly riveted to the right side of the body. Does this assembly also house the TPS or does the drive by wire not utilize a TPS? Is the APP the only position device?

Question 2 - Between the two codes, it looks like maybe it is a APP problem. After I replace it, is there a special procedure I have to do to make the computer learn the new APP?

I have not found any wire/connector issues so far. I've read a lot of the postings and it appears a lot of folks have had the same problem, and sometimes continue to have problems. Just trying to get to the bottom of the issue.

Thanks, Bird

Isn't the TPS sensor part of the pedal assembly? At least that is what I would think because the pedal tells the comp how much to open the blade......
