Reduced Engine Power

I have a 04 Tahoe, recently the rep and ses light has came on, I will be going down road about 55-65 and lose all power and cant accelorate above 30-35! If i come to a stop, it idles so rough! I can kill truck and wait few min and sometimes it runs fine others not. I have been reading forums now for two days and seems this is a reoccuring problem for some, im not wanting to put lots of money into my truck and not solve the problem, so im asking if anyone has found out the problem and corrected it without it reoccuring. If anyone can help, please do!

sounds like the gas pump is going bad, check the fuel pressure...

Well we had a fuel pump (ac delco) put on about a month ago and then we had cranking issues, had pressure test and it wasnt holding gas in valve so we just replaced it last monday! We have never had any issues with our tahoe until fuel pump and it didnt go out it was just leaving me stranded and i could get under truck beat on it few times and it would crank right back up and might not give me any problems for months!

My 03 tahoe had a similiar condition and it ending up being the throttle position sensor which requires the the throttle body be replaced. It would have check engine light and reduce engine power would show up in the DIC. Has happened since and it's been quite a few miles.

yes my ses light is on and the reduce engine power comes up! im going to try and get it to shop tmrw and see thanks
