Optima Install?

so I let everyone convince me into an Optima red top 34 for my 07 nbs sierra not so happy. Battery fits in hold down tray almost but you can still move it a slight amount with it all tightened down. My biggest issue is I had to cut off the nice factory battery terminals and temporarily installed the quick marine terminals until i can find a better wiring solution. Need some suggestions on wiring ideas that are clean and work well. My best thought currently is the terminal ends napa sells with the 10" lead and the connecter.

I'm confused. If you're installing a new battery, why didn't you install the CORRECT one/size?

x2. Optima should make a battery that fits and uses the factory connections.

If you have purchased the proper battery, you would not need to cut anything and it would fit perfectly. Sounds like you ran into a case of listening to someone else?

Correct part number should be : SC34R (I have one)

Should be 10"L x 6.86"W x 7.81"H Measure it and see if it correct.

It is the sc34 without the reversed terminal only problem the negative factory terminal end makes a Sharp right angle and won't fit on negative post correctly.

That's because you bought the wrong battery.

What you are saying makes no sense because the only differance between your batter and mine is that your terminals are reversed same physical size. My terminal ends on the truck did not have the clearance to reach the side of the battery before it hooks a right angle as it does on the factory battery. Looking for new terminal end solutions. Will take pictures as soon as I can. To reiterate same size and shape battery! 34 series

According to the web site that BigBlueLB756 used, and going to the "find battery by vehicle, Optima DOESN'T sell a battery that will fit a 2007 Sierra. Don't know why, but that's what their chart says.

So as stated above, you're using the wrong battery!

If you have to jerry rig the connectors to make it work and cut on it , you won't have a warranty. In my opinion, you've wasted your time and money!

It make PERFECT sense. You got the wrong battery for your truck. If you got the correct one, the cables would reach and you would not have had to cut anything.
