Been creeping around this site for a bit now. Just purchased a new 2011 1500 Silverado Crew 4x4 Z71 in Storm Grey. Picking it up Oct.1. Can't wait! Getting the linex treatement soon after that. Seems like a good site, lots of info.

Here she is:

Big Congrats, You'll love the color :)

DITTO :D

But since it's a Silverado isn't it technically Taupe Gray? (I know 12 of one/a dozen of another)

Congratulations and welcome to the site.

Not to sound like a _ick BUT...

Chevrolet = Taupe Gray Metallic

GMC = Storm Gray Metallic

If they changed that I'd be surprised. Do you have your window sticker?

No, but I just registered it yesterday and on the NVIS form it says "Storm Grey"

Well, NVIS and factory invoice are both the same. I don't really care either way, I love the colour whatever it's called

Agreed :)

I owned black prior and absolutely had a love/hate relationship with it. The Metallic flex in the dark gray really hides dirt and minor paint swirls more than you can imagine. I absolutely love the color too.
