If it were me, I'd go to a wrecker and get a factory, dual-fan set-up out of a later model truck. My '06 1500 has that.

You'd have to install an aftermarket relay with a thermostat.

Factory set up is the best way to go if you think you have to switch. Take the harnes if you go salvage. Your can control this, as the factory does, with the PCM. Will need to make a pigtail and, in some years, turn on the option in the PCM.

The above relay dosen't apear to operate with the AC, only the engine temp. Factory units operete one fan with AC for better AC cooling.

From all I have read you cannot beat the cooling of the clutched engine fan. If you use your truck as a truck I would not change to Electric.

I want to switch for the power gains.

I like the idea of getting a stock fan from the junk yard( the 6.0 MAX has electric fans and most of the newer models as well) for fitmant and price.

As far as the wiring part you can order a pulley and wire harness from Black Bear Performance. And from what I understand (Black Bear chime in at any time) they can program your PCM to controll the fan. I even think they can set it up to turn on one for a/c and turn on more when towing.

I am ordering the Autocal from Black Bear Perfomance tomarrow and think I will get the pulley and harness while I am at it.
