I Finally Got Onstar To Turn Off Their Lights

I finally got OnStar to turn off their lights on my rear view mirror. My free subscription ran out this past March. After about a month while I was listening to XM radio, OnStar came on and overrode my radio to promote their 'hands-free' service. After about five minutes, I got tired of listening to it, however, I couldn't turn it off. I ended up calling OnStar on my cell phone and complained, then they turned if off and my XM radio came back on.

These OnStar promotions continued on about a weekly basis. Thus, I got tired of them. Instead of calling them on my cell phone, I just pushed the red emergency button to get in touch with OnStar. One of their operators told me that I didn't have an emergency. I told her that I paid for XM and I didn't like OnStar interupting my radio listening and that was an emergency to me. After pushing the red button about five times, OnStar finally got the word and now none of their lights turn on when I start my truck. I have not had an OnStar interuption since their lights have been turned off.

LOL, thats awesome! WTH is is that, they actually beam ads directly to your truck? I had no idea they did that. That would certainly piss me off as well.

Glad to hear you got under their skin a little.

Never heard of that but I also have an active subscription with them (just OS services, not the phone stuff- I already have two cell phones and have no use for a third.)
