I went for a Kenwood 9980HD and would greatly recommend it if you are willing to spend the money. The audio controls and settings as well as the ridiculous amount of inputs and things it can do is absolutely insane. Full speech controls, blue tooth, garmin nav, dual ipod inputs, dual usb inputs (I have an external HDD connected to one and leave one for random stuff) as well as a full 13 frequency equalizer for each of the three channels (front, center and rear). I have owned a lot of different head units and have never seen anything that comes close to the 9980HD. Honestly if you have the money to spend I can't recommend it enough.

I think most of the non-oem looking ones like that (kenwood, pioneer, alpine, etc.) have better interfaces overall then the advent. Of course they usually do not integrate as well or as easily. Not to mention that kenwood is more money, no? But the thing I hate the most is they tend to look so out of place. In all of my previous cars I have always gone with the aftermarket head units (non oem-looking types) and it never looks right.

Got any pics of your install?

I just purchased the Advent OGM-1 nav unit from ADC Mobile after reading this thread and others like it. The OGM-1 was the best way to get the features that were important to me in a radio/nav. The installation was easy and straight forward. I did have to make a couple of calls to Walt at ADC Mobile for support and he was a big help. I really like the fit, just like factory with none of the spacers and adapter bezels that make the installation look amateurish or crudely done. I didn't get the backup camera with the initial purchase but I'll be adding that option soon! The OMG-1 is a good value for the dollar.

WHERE DID YOU GUYS BUY YOUR ADVENT 0GM1? I CANT FIND ANY LOCAL STORES THAT HAVE THEM

Old thread, but yes, most of us got our units from Walt ad ADC Mobile. Great guy. Great support.

I am very happy with my OGM-1. If you decide to go that route, then Walt is your man. Go ahead and give him a call. He will answer all of your questions
