Torsion Bar Adjustment Question

Hi all, today while replacing my shocks I noticed that I was riding on the front bump stops, I did check my neighbors trucks and they were kind of just touching them too so I think that it is probably overall ok.

Since I had all the tools out and from what I have read here and checking my manual I cranked my torsion bars about 3/4's of a turn, 1 because I am not sure about doing this and my 2nd thought is what is the maximum amout of turns before I should redo the front alignment? I just got one a few months ago and dont want to do it again just yet if I dont have too. I read that 1 full turn is 1/8" but somewhere else 4 to 6.5 turns is 2". So I didnt even go one full turn. I made an attempt to check the Z height but the manuals pictures kind of sucks and I couldnt figure out where to put the level, and then trying to measure 4.7 inches with one had holding the level and the other a machinist ruler sucked, so I stopped.

I did test drive it afterwards and everything is still pretty smooth and I am actually really thrilled with the ride with the shocks. I still had the stock ones on, but due to money I went with the monroe sense a tracks, I wanted the reflex ones but for 15$ bucks more a shock was a deal breaker and the bilsteins were not in stock, but I was very impressed with the smoothness and the ride with the new shocks.

Can anyone offer some advice?

I put an actual level kit in mine. The instructions said every 1/4" of thread adjustment on bolt equaled 1" lift in the front. I used reindexed keys so my set up is different but even now my front is just off the stops. I'd still get the alignment done regardless of however little may adjust your height.

I agree on the alignment. Every 1/4" up or down will affect camber to some degree and if you dont know how the alignment tech did the alignment..it should be rechecked. With todays alignment equip, too many guys are happy with "green" instead of the actual number. If you were right on the edge of the parememter, your last happy "green" alignment may not be quite as happy now. Interpreted...truck may and prob wont pull, but the inside edges of the tires will take a beating

Understand... One note though, I only moved the bolt less than one full turn, which is no where near 1/4" of thread adjustment. On mine a quarter inch of bolt would be about 4 to 8 full turns, I think, that is just by what I remember from laying under the truck and looking at the threads of the bolt, so that might explain some of the other posts I have seen where it said 6 turns should equal 1" then that would be about 1/4" of bolt travel
