Just curious if antone has had any good luck with the spray tint for there head or tailights,, ive tried it before and it ran, and/or had fisheyes everywere.. Not sure whats the best thing to use to prep the plastic.. should i use a 15-2000 grit sand paper or steel wool, or use a paint thinner or similar chemical to prep?? Thanks for any advise.

I used VHT Nite Shades, 2000 grit sandpaper, clear coat, and a medium cut polish on my taillights and my third brake light and they turned out great! Check out these links on youtube and if you follow how he does it you should have good results. It is a little time consuming but well worth it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSKA0ElKg1Q, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8-hZP6-ZY8.

Let me just say....

Paint or any coating does not just run or have fisheyes.

Run= You put too much on at once. Either back away a little as you spray, or speed up your pass.

Fisheye= Contaminated surface. You can wipe down with denatured alcohol prior to paint. There are specific pre-paint products that you can get, but the alcohol works fine here....
