Rancho 4" with 2" leveling kit...?

I'm looking at adding a rancho 4" kit on my 2011 Sierra. I already installed a skyjacker 2" leveling kit on it, and I'm curious if I can stack these two together. I wouldn't see a problem since the rancho kit says it lifts both front and rear by 4" so I'm looking at it that if I didn't have it leveled it would still be raked so with the leveling kit I would have like a 6" lift right? I mainly want to know if anyone else here has done it, and if you have were your cv angles and steering angles acceptable? One last question is with this lift could I stuff 17x9s wheels on it? Rancho tells me 17x8 is the max. Also looking to stuff 35's or their metric equivalent. Any help is appreciated

Which is strange because looking at the kit it uses what look like two inch add a leafs and a two inch block so total four inches rear...right. So if the front end raises four inches along with the rear the spacer wouldn't hurt because the truck sits just about level now. Anybody got this kit that can let me know for sure?

2" in leafs + a 2" block does not = 4" of lift though... assuming that your AAL's add 2" may be more, might settle to less... your Sierra has a 1.25" stock rear block that you remove, and then add the 2" block, and 2" leafs. so you are really netting 2.75" in the rear, and 4" front. so you are REMOVING 1.25" of rake. figure out the difference between the front and the rear.

assuming your truck has a 2" rake from the factory, now you only have .75" of rake on your truck, IMO a great almost perfect amount of rake. SO, if it was me and i wasnt happy with the 4" i would buy some 3" blocks and a 1"-1.5" leveling kit.

I have also heard that the rancho 4" kit is closer to a 6" lift. im sure someone on here will confirm

Rancho lift comes with 4" blocks and aal, which on my truck made it sit nose down a little. Not sure about running a 2" level with the lift, I'd go for something like 1" level if anything. Any wheel with proper backspacing and 33's will work, 35's and you're looking for trouble unless on the stockers.

Ok thanks guys didn't think about the factory block on the rear that makes sense. Only reason I really wanted to do this is because to install the leveling spacers I had to cut the factory strut studs down and was worried that if I remove the spacers then I can't bolt the struts back in place. Cparks I'm taking it you have the same kit I'm looking at so I trust what your saying, really sucks cause I wanted to go with the 35's and a little nicer chrome steel wheel. If you don't mind me asking how is your truck set up, cause that looks pretty good. Also what ground clearence do you have so I can get an idea of how high I'll be getting...probable not the best way to put that haha.

If you want 35's and want to keep your upper strut spacer then get yourself the Fabtech basic kit. Both problems solved and will readily clear 35's.

Fabtech kit looks nice, but for the price I think I'm gonna stick with the rancho and just go with 33's. Plus on a kinda dumb side the rancho comes in red which matches my truck lol. I don't have to keep the spacer was really just curious about it. As far as wheels go for awhile I'm gonna stick with the stockers because I havnt seen a 17 that I've really fallen for. Nice thing is I have a buddy with 17x9's and 33's on his tahoe so I can check clearance and fitment before I buy. Thanks for the help and direction guys, I've been a gear head/mechanic for years but suspensions lifts are gonna be a first. I gotta save up a little more cash yet but when it's done...with the weather probably the spring I'll be sure to get pictures.

Scratch some of that found a fabtech kit at a good price but I'll be honest I don't mind cutting and notching the frame, but don't know that I wanna go cutting the diff. I know that sounds a little weird but it's how I feel

Ugh this is starting to suck I'm having a hard time deciding now...if it was your guys money...what would you do? I'm guessing everyone is gonna say more lift haha

Well after toying around with it a little bit I think im going to go with the fabtech kit after all. Kinda curious as to why the kit says I can run a 18 or 20x9 but not a 17x9, anybody got a idea about this one?
