2" leveling kit install issues

Hey guys I have my 2012 Sierra crew 6.2 I'm trying to level, ran into some difficulty.

Bought an eBay special  2" leveling kit, mainly because it's solid aluminum. This spacer is just over 1-1/8" thick, which was a bitch to cram in there, it took some damage lol Finally get it lined up, the bolts were too long. So I cut them with the bench vise and hacksaw, coulda used the grinder but it's late.. Cut them to size where the locknut would sit flush with the threads. I can't even fit the locknut over the hole without wedging itself between the CV joint and spacer.

So now I'm wondering if I need an rc kit? How thick does that one actually measure? Any advice would b great!

I believe it is 1-1/8" thick. Sounds like you got the wrong bolts. I had Zero issues with the installation and took about 10 minutes per side. :dunno:

I took some pics with my iPhone, can't figure out how to post em. I can only put the bolt in from underneath, the cv joint is less than 3/8" from the spacer. Bolt hole is right in line with it

here you can see the bolt hits the cv joint--almost-- i can't even start to thread the locknut. maybe i should use a regular nut w/locktite?post-45327-0-20320800-1321459710_thumb.jpg

slid the nut in before you run the threads all the way up like shown in the photo. Just stick an open end wrench on the bolt and tighten from the bottom  When the trucks on the ground, it will have more clearance.

i cant even get the nut to sit flat over the bolt hole...it gets stuck between the cv joint and spacer/shock mount

*update*

It's done! I grabbed some shorter bolts and nuts. The nut has a flange at the base of it with tiny grooves, so it's like a locknut, just shorter. Went to do the other side, was amazed how much easier it was to get the spacer in. Literally 20mins.. Not sure why I had to fight with the 1st spacer..?

Truck looks way better leveled. How it should sit out of the factory IMO

I got pics, will post later
