08 NNBS window noise

Mine is at the dealer as we speak to fix the squeaky front windows. It got so embarrisingly bad last weekend it finally broke the straw. Of course, today they were covered in snow and I assume lubricated, so they weren't doing it when I dropped it off. I assured the service manager however and even mentioned the TSB about the tracks needing lubrication. We'll see what they come back with.

 

Regardless, it was as good a time as any to get that and my rotting wheels taken care of while I still have some warranty left.

1 new window regulator later and mine is as quiet as ever. Not sure what the regulator had to do with it (window still worked fine with old one), and I think they greased the tracks while they were in there.

Finally had my window done about 2 weeks ago. Smelled like an oil refinery for a few hours afterward. It fixed my problem and window goes down smooth and silent now.

Usually the window noise can be repaired by following this

 

Grease needs to be applied at the arrow marks.

Its not the felt or Tint.....Its the window regulator rails,they need to be lubed,just had my driver doors window done,it gets used the most of course,passenger side still quiet.

Refer to TSB 07-08-64-019C.If the lube does not work then replace the regulator assembly,or wait till the Spring and Summer ;-)

MY truck does the same thing when it gets cold outside. Im wondering if anyone here has tried putting a little graphite power in the window channels to see if that helps?
