Rear leaf spring stack not Parallel with helper spring

I have a 2009 gmc sierra 4 dr. the rear leaf spring helpers are not parallel with the rest of the springs. They look bent left to right. The drivers side helper spring sticks out of the stack 3/4 inch in the front and a 1/2 inch in the back the springs are not broken in the middle but the spring is sticking out the same side of the stack as you get closer to the ubolts the stack becomes parrelIel. I have brought it to the dealer and they are saying there is no problem. There has to be a tolerance on how much a spring can be bent left to right. The other thing is the spring rate of the helper has to of changed.... I have looked at other trucks and out of the four trucks that I looked at one had a helper that was a little bit skewed. Has anyone experienced this

or have a spec on the rear springs.

My 2010 was like this. My springs were replaced due to a clunking noise and the new springs were the same way. I have seen quite a few like this so I assume it is normal. DOesnt seem to affect anything

that is interesting. i just got back from the dealer and i finally got them to look into it more. i thnk it is a manufacturing issue. weather it hurts the performance i am not sure. i have looked a few older trucks 2000 to 2005 and all that i have seen are straight. i will keep you posted on what i turn up.

Why not just take the pack apart and align it to your liking????

Why not just take the pack apart and align it to your liking????

The reason you can not align them is because the helper spring is bent the same way so there is know way to align them. meaning the spring is sticking out the same side front and back.

so just a little update. the dealer did look into it and there is a manufacturing issue. they are going to replace both helper springs.
