Mirror Swapp

I have a 2010 gmc Sierra, and I have the power adjust, heat, mirror and I am wanting to get the DL3 mirror with the turn signal. I have found a set of dl3 with turn, heat, power, power fold, puddle lamp.. My ? Is what do I need for this swap to work.. Will the turn signal work as "plug and play" with no reprogram....And what else would I need to get the power fold to work.. Any help would be great.. Thanks

To take advantage of everything you'll need SLT/LTZ door modules and a dealer visit to have them programmed to your truck. As for what will work without that being done, I'm not sure. I think Ryan has these mirrors on his truck but I don't remember him saying anything about swapping the door modules.

you can get your factory passenger module programmed, but you need a driver side module so you'll have the power fold button

I just called the local dealership and they said " it can't be done".. So anyone got any thoughts on that... Is that true or are they blowin smoke...

I'm pretty sure you just need the new door modules (switch panel) and programming. Hopefully one of the techs can chime in though.

It looks like some folks are successfully doing it. Sounds like you need the following parts

 

DL3 Drivers side door switch - GM 15906881

DL3 Mirrors

L 25879083

R 25838267

 

And programming at the dealership.

Got the mirror.. So far so good.. Got the right side done.. Plus put the new white handle on too... So far I got the turn signal, and power adjust to work.. Will try the heat tomorrow when I do the left side...

Ok so put both the dl3 mirror and the white handles too are on and they work and look great.., aside from no power fold, but I will work on that later... ..

yeah. power fold comes with programming, but if you can find the 2 ddms with powerfold, you won't have to program them. ;)
