F-16 Landing

Just thought I'd post a pic I took a week or so ago.  Me and my son were coming back from riding the 4 wheeler one evening and some of our jets were coming in for landings.  The end of the runway is only about 100 yards to the right of where we took the picture from.  I thought it turned out kinda cool with the moon in the background.  We set and watched several of them come in.  We moved up a little bit so that they were coming in right over us.  Some evening when they are night flying, I'm going to try and go out and get a pic of them taking off with full afterburner.  :thumb:

Sweet shot Tom!!  Pretty awesome to have those things scream overhead isn't it?  I have a shot I took many years back at an air show of the Air Force Thunderbirds as they flew overhead, have to see if I can find it and scan it for ya'll to see too.

That would be cool Brian.  It is neat to have them screaming right over top of you!

 

My dad got some pictures from this years Shawfest Air Show that I should scan and post.  A couple good ones of some vintage aircraft in formation with currently active aircraft.  :thumb:

I have a shot I took many years back at an air show of the Air Force Thunderbirds as they flew overhead, have to see if I can find it and scan it for ya'll to see too.

 

The thunderbirds buzzed my house.  Pretty scary if you ask me
