Backup camera mirror/Advent Nav system issue

I purchased my 2011 2500HD LT used with a Advent Nav/dvd system and a backup camera mirror. Image on my camera comes through my mirror but not my Navigation screen can anyone tell me what must be done to have image come through Advent system?

My guess is the factory camera was not wired to the nav unit. In the settings menu is the rear view camera turned on?

It won't be fixed by adjusting settings. You'll need to tap into the wires that go to the mirror if you want to make it work. There is a thread with great info on this somewhere in this section. Be advised though that if you have the factory camera the image quality on the nav screen will suck as GM only spec'd a camera with enough resolution to work on the small mirror screen.

I was suggesting that IF the previous owner did wire it to the OGM-1 that maybe the rear view setting was turned to off, that's all. I did say "my guess is the factory camera was not wired to the nav unit"

Thanks I feel that the camera was not connected to Advent system, camera option is ON in the Advent system not sure what it would take to connect from mirror to Advent.
