BB tuned

Got the BB tune Tuesday. I am running an 87 oct tune at the moment. I haven't got enough miles on it to have a complete opinion but I did notice that the truck seems to pull considerably harder off the line when pressing the gas pedal 1/2-3/4 vs WOT. Anybody experience this as well.

The tune definitely made a performance improvement and I can't wait to try the 93 octane tune

Why not just go for the 93 tune outright? And yes the tune brings out the full potential of the stock truck.

Cost of gas is main reason for having both 87 and 93 tunes. I don't have the 93 in now cause I had just filled up with 87 when I got the tune from BB.

Cost of gas. You know that its about maybe 5 more dollars total for a full tank using 93, and are you saying that you have two tunes as in your towhaul button is 93 octane? You would have to cycle a few tanks of 93 before full benefits

No im sure he is saying he has two sepperate tunes, one 87 and one 93. The two/haul button has nothing to do with how the engine performs, only the tranny.

So when justin tuned my truck 93 across the board and I asked him to make the t/h performance oriented it only changed the tranny a bit to get me 30 more hp and 40tq to the rear wheels. That's amazing!

Tow-haul mode causes the PCM to run on a whole new set of code...it affects your engine and your tranny

When Justin tuned my old truck the tow haul button was changed to be all TM removed from engine and tranny. Without the t/h button on the truck ran on the typical BB tune. He can change the t/h button to anything you want because it is on seperate curves.

So in theory, you could have the BB 93 octane tune and the stock program, and switch between the two, say if you had to go to the stealership for work and they wouldn't know the better?

No, you would need to flash completely back to stock (which is where having the AutoCal handheld or spare modules is beneficial).
